FRA Sandbox Regulatory Guidance Tour | Cairo Edition

Bringing regulatory guidance closer to innovators across Egypt.

The FRA Sandbox successfully launched the first edition of its Regulatory Guidance Tour in Cairo, an initiative designed to connect entrepreneurs, startups, technology providers, and non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs) directly with the regulatory expertise they need to navigate the financial landscape.

Through tailored, in-person sessions, selected participants had the opportunity to discuss their innovative business models with Financial Regulatory Authority FRA leadership and specialized experts, gaining practical insights into applicable regulatory frameworks, licensing requirements, compliance considerations, and the potential suitability of the FRA Sandbox as a pathway for testing their innovations.

The sessions were delivered by FRA leadership and specialized experts, including Eng. Ahmed Khalifa Executive Director of the FRA Sandbox, Mr. Mahmoud Gebril Assistant to the Chairman of the FRA, Dr. Rehab Taha, CFA , Mr. Hatem Nour Deputy Assistant to the Chairman of the FRA, Ms. Sally George chairman associate and deputy head of central department of corporate finance to the Chairman of the FRA, Ms. Abeer Helmy Saleh Advisor to the Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority FRA on Insurance and Eng. Ahmed Attia deputy assistant to the chairman of FRA. The initiative was further supported by Dr. Adel Hussein, Ms. Aya Aly, MPP, and Menna Hussein, in collaboration with the FRA Sandbox team: Ms. Heba Eissa Marian Boshra, Nadia Zaazaa, FTIP®,Shrouk Shawky, Toka Hassan and Farah AbdelKader.

Through this initiative, the FRA Sandbox continues to strengthen
engagement with innovators, promote early regulatory awareness, and support the development of responsible and sustainable innovation across Egypt’s non-banking financial sector.

The Cairo Edition marks the first step toward bringing regulatory guidance closer to innovators across different governorates in Egypt.
