EG Insurtech, in collaboration with Assurex Insurance Brokerage, has received initial approval from the Financial Regulatory Authority FRA to join the FRA Sandbox with its innovative AI-powered insurance assistant, “Ameen.”

The project introduces an intelligent AI assistant integrated into digital insurance platforms to transform customer engagement. “Ameen” provides real-time, personalized insurance guidance through a conversational interface that understands customers' needs. Powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and rule-based insurance logic, Ameen compares products across participating insurers and delivers a seamless digital experience that enhances transparency and operational efficiency.

Highlighting the significance of the project, H.E. Dr. Islam Abdel Azim Azzam, Chairman of the FRA, highlighted the importance of supporting projects that enhance communication between companies and customers through digital applications, while expanding the use of AI to analyze customer trends, needs, and feedback, improve service efficiency, and help customers choose the insurance coverage best suited to their needs.

Eng. Ahmed Khalifa, Executive Director—the FRA Sandbox, noted that the initial approval reflects the Authority's commitment to embracing technological innovation and providing a safe testing environment for innovative financial solutions that accelerate digital transformation and promote financial inclusion.

Commenting on the initial approval, Eng.
