Today, we spotlight our MoU partner: Mercatura

We were honored to have H.E. Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority FRA, witness the signing of the MoU.

The MoU was signed by Eng. Ahmed Khalifa — Executive Director of the FRA Sandbox and Chief Data Officer — and Mr. Kareem Younes, Chief Executive of Mercatura.

🔹 Mercatura is a Web3-focused venture studio based in Cairo, with strategic presence in Switzerland and Dubai. It focuses on distributed systems in finance and edge AI applications, and holds equity in several of Egypt’s most promising Web3 tech startups. The Mercatura Building in Cairo hosts the only Layer 1 Web3 protocol operating in Egypt.

Mercatura also provides grants and early-stage investments to Web3 startups building compliant and scalable real-world solutions.

Together, we aim to:
