Orient Insurance Company - Egypt, in collaboration with EG Insurtech, has received initial approval from the Financial Regulatory Authority FRA to join the FRA Sandbox with its innovative “Remote Vehicle Inspection & Damage Assessment” solution.

The project introduces a next-generation digital model for motor insurance
inspections, enabling vehicle surveys and damage assessments to be conducted remotely through secure live video sessions. The solution is designed to minimize dependence on traditional field inspections while creating a faster, smarter, and more efficient inspection process.

Through the platform, surveyors can guide customers in real time, capture live photos and videos, digitally document inspection findings, and complete assessments through an integrated workflow connected directly to the insurer’s operational systems.

The solution is designed to:

H.E. Dr. Islam Abdel Azim Azzam , Chairman of the FRA, emphasized the FRA’s continued focus on driving innovation within the insurance sector and encouraging the adoption of advanced technologies that improve service efficiency and customer experience. He highlighted the growing importance of digital inspection solutions in streamlining claims processes and reducing operational complexities.

Eng. Ahmed Khalifa, Executive Director of the FRASandbox, noted that the initiative reflects the ongoing evolution of insurance operations toward more
technology-enabled models. He added that the Sandbox framework will allow the company to test and validate the solution under the FRA’s supervision, with a focus on efficiency, data integrity, customer data protection, and regulatory
compliance.
