The FRA Sandbox, in collaboration with Liquid C2 MENA, successfully hosted a two-day Secure Coding Workshop for Back-End Software Developers, aimed at strengthening secure development practices and integrating security throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
The workshop was opened with welcoming remarks by Marian Boshra, Senior Operations and Business Development Specialist at the FRA Sandbox team, who highlighted FRA Sandbox’s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between market needs and emerging cybersecurity domains through specialized workshops and knowledge-sharing initiatives that foster capacity building and industry awareness.
Delivered by Andrew Emil, Red Team Manager at Liquid C2, the workshop provided participants with practical insights into secure software development, covering key topics such as integrating security into the SDLC, risk assessment and threat modeling, secure design principles, authentication and authorization, data validation, and common application security vulnerabilities, including SQL Injection and Cross-Site Scripting (XSS).
The sessions were marked by active engagement and valuable discussions among participants, creating an interactive learning environment and reinforcing the importance of secure coding practices in today’s evolving digital landscape.
