As part of the FRA Sandbox Annual Event, we brought together leading voices from Egypt’s financial and technology ecosystem for an engaging discussion on the journey of innovation — from ideas and experimentation to real-world testing and impact.

Moving from experimentation to live testing**, with the first two projects entering the live testing phase: Remote Vehicle Inspection, developed by GIG Egypt in collaboration with EG Insurtech, and Electronic Passport, developed by Lumin Soft in collaboration with Azimut Investments Egypt.

Turning tested solutions into broader opportunities, including the potential for successful innovations to evolve further and unlock new investment opportunities.

Looking beyond the first application, with discussions around how solutions such as remote vehicle inspection could potentially expand into other sectors and use cases in the future.

Driving financial inclusion beyond Cairo, with technology-enabled solutions offering the potential to make insurance services more accessible across Egypt’s governorates, particularly in areas where traditional insurance access may be limited.

Preparing for the next generation of technology users, with a strong focus on technology adoption and building solutions that reflect how future generations will access and interact with financial services.

Supporting technology founders, through practical insights and guidance on key criteria founders can consider as they navigate their innovation journey.
