The AT50 Index Cairo Market Open

The AT50 Index Cairo Market Open

From Private Scale to Public Markets.

The AT50 Index Cairo Market Open, held at the Egyptian Exchange, brought together key voices from across Egypt and Africa’s financial and technology ecosystem to explore the journey from private-market scale to public-market participation.

The programme opened with welcome remarks from Mr. Omar Radwan, Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange - EGX , followed by a regulatory address from Eng. Ahmed Khalifa, Director of FRA Regulatory Sandbox, highlighting the regulatory perspective within the evolving capital markets landscape.

The programme then featured Mr. Gbite Oduneye, Chair of the AT50 Index, Indexa Exchange Group , who shared insights on Africa’s emerging private-company issuer pipeline, institutional visibility, and pathways toward long-term and public-market capital.

The conversation continued with Dialogue I: “Africa’s Next Generation of Industry Leaders,” moderated by Ms. KARIMA👼🏽 El Hakim . The panel brought together leaders from Nawy, Bosta, Paga, Chari, and Flutterwave to discuss scaling across African and international markets, governance and institutional maturity, capital requirements at scale, and what comes after private-market growth.

As innovation continues to reshape financial markets, creating stronger connections between regulators, exchanges, investors, and high-growth companies is essential to building credible pathways toward the next stage of growth.

The FRA Regulatory Sandbox remains an important platform for enabling constructive dialogue between regulators and innovators, helping bridge the gap between emerging business models and the evolving regulatory and capital-markets landscape.
